Marc Rasmussen
Bosser
Marc Rasmussen has been in the Advertising/Marketing world since 1994. He then wrote a business plan to start a production company, got a business loan and started Vision Video Interactive. Barry Krikke
Bosser
One of the scrumptilious bossers of VVI. Seasoned (mild not spicy) creative project manager, achieving self awareness from time to time. Enjoys working with the VVI crew and mingling with small town country folk. In spare time, likes to hang out with family (wife, 2 boys), play volleyball/racquetball, and flip dogs.

Jeff Reynolds
Account Executive / Producer
Like many in creative careers, Jeff aspired to make a big visual splash on a rockin’ web site sporting a large bobble head with his mouth agape. Mission accomplished! But that’s only part of his story; a twisted creative path that includes stints playing drums in a rock band, serving as a funeral home apprentice, crawling through the muddy rows of a strawberry farm, and slinging pizzas into an ancient 500 degree oven. The heat really kicked in during 7 years in broadcast news moving through the ranks of Production Assistant, Producer, and finally Executive Producer. Then, jumping from news to advertising, Jeff spent 15 years as Senior Producer/Writer with another respected production company. Today he’s ready to lead your next creative challenge here at VVI.

Paul Christensen
General Manager
Here lies Paul Christensen. Paul lived life like most of us live death. A production manager to us creative types, Paul made sure to keep our engine running as smoothly as possible. With production experience at KELO, Midco, and Vision Video Interactive, Paul showed that perseverance and hard work typically led to a pink slip. But luckily for us, Paul never received a pink slip from VVI. We made sure to drive him into the ground slowly and completely before “letting him go”. In all seriousness, he was a good person and we’ll miss him around the office. He’s left an indelible mark here at VVI. Thankfully, we can get that out with some baking soda and seltzer water. Rest in peace, Paul. (we kid, we kid)

Michael McQuade
Video Director
Originally hailing from somewhere within the vast unknown landscape commonly referred to as Western Canada, Michael now spends his days quietly editing away at VVI. When he’s not doing that, he’s not doing much of anything else, unless you consider “xboxing” a high mark of great achievement. Oh. If and when the new VVI site goes live he’ll also be a new father… or retiring…

Thomas Christiansen
Art Director
Thomas was a designer before he even knew he was one, before he could say the word. Since then he has been creating like a mad man (bahaha…Mad Men reference). While earning his degree in Advertising Art Direction at Columbia College Chicago, he had the opportunity to work as Art Director for some great companies, and even learned a little Russian. This guy can also strategize, write copy, storyboard, and dance. Well, maybe that last one is more of an aspiration.

Kristy Smith
Director of Media Strategy
Kristy is the VVI Director of Media Strategy. She’s not like a choir director though, she doesn’t even have a baton. What makes Kristy different from other Media Strategists is that she is creative. Most aren’t, but she is. She has a full service agency background and many years of experience in media buying/placement, so she has that going for her. Kristy places media for a variety of industries and in national, regional and local markets. In a nutshell, she basically places media everywhere she can and does a really, really, really good job. This concludes the bio of Kristy, the Media Buyer. Thank you

Tara Mueller
Interactive Director
Tara grew up in northwest Iowa and is a graduate of Iowa State University. She’s been fiddling with media and digital strategy for over ten years and enjoys finding creative solutions for clients. Mom to Milo and wife to Phil, Tara likes reading in her spare time and is part of a book club that meets sporadically, mostly for the beer. She’s a music junkie and loves to go see live local music, especially her husband’s band.

Dustin Krueger
Web Producer
Dustin is from a ranch in the middle of South Dakota and still has little hick in him. But don’t let that fool you: his utility belt includes over 10 years as a print and web design guru and dabbling in web development. When Dustin isn’t working to make the World Wide Web a better place, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as golfing and hunting 30-point bucks.

Brian Wolff
Video Editor / Writer
After a failed laboratory experiment, the doctors, in their shame, were forced to let Brian go free. He wandered from the midwest to the west coast and back again before finally settling down in Sioux Falls. Along the way he found a career as a video editor, plus a wife and kids that are just as bonkers as he is! He’s now been editing both long-form and short-form projects for over 10 years at The Outdoor Channel and Vision Video Interactive respectively. Science may have damaged his brain, but the creative centers still fire on all cylinders. No, literally, they put cylinders in there. Weird, I know.

Jason Comes
UI Developer
Besides being an expert video game player, Jason enjoys killing time(day dreaming) thinking of the next big idea! Currently he holds the record for most domains owned at VVI with 43. Jason finally realized his potential and his niche when he figured he’d have to do something to make a living. Now he’s a complete computer nerd, dabbling in interactive programming, social media, and online marketing. If there is something Jason can’t figure out, its how to text and drive at the same time. Originally hailing from LodgeNet (where he did both Web and IT Support), he’s now our go-to guy for everything…computers that is!
The day he gets black-framed square glasses, he’ll be initiated into the VVI Web Geek Clan. Jason’s Motto is “I can do anything on the internet!!” -

Vitaliy Verbovskiy
VR Producer
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, grew up in Portland, OR, moved to South Dakota and Graduated from The University of South Dakota with a Criminal Justice Degree. Never decided to go one particular route with what I like so I’ve tried it all. I’ve been involved in music, woodworking, healthcare, extreme sports and the arts. My area of expertise is Sports Production particularly in live handheld camera work. I do photography and video on the side; editing photography and video is another area of expertise. Anywhere I go I’m usually considered the workhorse; easing people workload and helping anyone who needs it. You can find me doing many things in one day that don’t necessarily mesh with another.

Jen Westall
Designer
After graduating from SDSU in ’95 with a Visual Arts/Philosophy degree, Jen did what anyone in her position would do with those credentials….she became unemployable. But thanks to the most creative, “Will Design For Food” sign in South Dakota, she was able to get back on track by managing a printing company and jumping head-first into designing print for the Automotive Industry. Fast foward 14 years and her accumulated knowledge of the “Car Biz” is only matched by IBM’s Watson supercomputer and Lee Iacocca. From real world ads, brochures, and direct mail, to fake world web and social media design, Jen’s creative flair is constantly pumping out the design-laced jams all the way to 11!

Roza Abukina
Office manager
At 14 years old, Roza decided that she could no longer take living in a place that had freezing, never-ending winters, a predominantly white population, and a bunch people with funny accents, so without hesitation she hopped on a plane and made her way from her homeland of Russia to the upper Midwest. After her arrival, she continued her education at the University of South Dakota where she studied International Business. Between school and her part-time job as a villain in Die Hard, she somehow found the time to meet her husband, start a family, and hold down a handful of pretty amazing jobs! All that experience, however, brought her to the most amazing opportunity to date…working at VVI as our Office Manager.

Jacki Blumenauer
Controller
All hail the “Controller” of Chaos! Her rule is inexorable and absolute. Once VVI’s official “Pencil Pusher of the Accounting Department” starts hunting down rogue receipts and problematic paperwork, you’d better hope beyond hope that her unyielding gaze doesn’t fall upon you! You fall in line, or suffer the consequences!
However, when she’s not wielding the mighty broadsword of bookkeeping, she loves hangin’ with the family, cruising on a Harley with her husband, and gardening.
Now cower in fear!….or come say “Hi”. It’s up to you!
